Welcome to the Carbon Copy Cloner Help Desk
This is the home of all support for Carbon Copy Cloner.
If you have a question, please search our knowledge base articles, browse public discussions, or create a new discussion if you’re having trouble. We respond promptly to customer tickets - typically within one business day. If you have contacted us and have not had a response within two business days, your support request may not have reached us for some reason. Please resend it.
If you take the time to create an account, you will be able to post private discussions (that only yourself and our support team can see) and track your existing discussions. However, if you don't want to create an account, you can still create a public discussion in our discussion area.
We provide online support Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, US Eastern Time.
Mavericks: Known problems
Before you upgrade to Mavericks:
CNET has reported a Mavericks-specific problem with some external hard drive enclosures configured with third-party disk utilities. These problems are unrelated to CCC, but due to the nature of these reports, we are recommending extreme caution when upgrading your system to Mavericks if you have a third-party disk configuration utility installed on your Mac. Please see this Apple discussion for additional details.
Errors writing to a Windows SMB sharepoint
Similar to reports that we've seen elsewhere on the Internet, we have received reports of problems writing to some Windows SMB sharepoints on Mavericks (directly and to disk images hosted on the sharepoint).
Workaround: Mount the sharepoint with a "cifs" URL via the Finder's "Connect to server" option in the Go menu. See this article for a longer explanation of the problem and the workaround.
