error "you can't open the app. CCC because it may be damaged or incomplete"

I purchased CCC then downloaded the update to Mac 10.6.8 server.
Then got the error (subject) on relaunch.
What should I do now?

   Hi Mike:

   Try downloading it again from here:

   http://www.bombich.com/software/download_ccc.php

   I updated CCC this afternoon, it's entirely possible that you started to download right as I was posting changes.

   Let me know if the fresh download doesn't work.

   I will try on Monday when I'm back in the office.

   additional information:
   I had run the upgrade a week ago.
   What's weird today is the console was still working even though the CCC icon was grayed out and the error came up.

   That may not change your recommendation.
