EFI volume

Hi,

I was just testing a boot volume that I created over a network, and the volume shows up as EFI. Why? What is EFI? How do I change the volume name to match what the name actually is?

BTW, I rectified the situation by starting off the volume through startup items as I did not initially realize that the EFI volume that shows up when pressing the option key while restarting is the boot volume created by CCC.

Thanks,

paul

    Hi Paul:

CCC can't properly bless (and thus apply a label for the firmware boot picker) a volume on a remote Mac. You can drop the volume onto the attached application, though, to resolve that cosmetic issue.
