   Hi Chris:

   Are you able to copy anything to that volume manually in the Finder? I've seen a lot of similar reports to this on the Seagate enclosures lately (on my Help Desk and in general elsewhere). Ordinarily I'd say this is probably a filesystem problem, but given that this is a Seagate enclosure, I suspect you can resolve this by detaching the enclosure from your Mac, then reattaching it. Or by using a Firewire connection instead (if that is an option). This section of CCC's documentation offers some additional troubleshooting suggestions if that doesn't work:
